Septic Systems

The valley was not connected to city services until the main office was built in 1964. All of the other areas of camp relied on septic systems.

There were TWO leaching fields built to handle wastewater – one for the kitchen and washrooms a(djacent to the nurses office) and another for the locker rooms.

It is unikely these were removed when the camp was demolished in 1995 since they likely had no idea they existed or where they were located. Until now! They don’t pose any danger, but it would be nice to know where they are!
